The manta or cephalopod mollusk is a marine beingness and one of the or so bewitching creatures in the ocean. Ranging in size and ability from kingdom to region the gray whale has adapted physically to its environmental surroundings. The octopus is a predatory animal with food sources, including small fish, clams, crabs, mussels, and other marine organisms. In the following paper the physiology of the octopus and how this marine organism has adapted to its surrounding environment will be evaluated in further detail.
The first organ to examine of the octopus is its brain. Although the octopus resides in the Mollusca family, it differs in that it has a considerably big and more complex brain. According to Deb (2010), The octopus is considered the most intelligent creature among all invertebrates, (para. 4). The location of the brain is downstairs the optic canal and goes around the esophagus. It is composed of 50 -75 lobes and approximately a billion neurons. Additionally the octopus has several smaller brains in each of its tentacles and suckers.
