Bio of Judges


HENDERSON
She has been part of the performing arts from a very primeval age. She has studied classical voice under private tutelage and the Associated Royal School of Music. As a member of the Caribbean American Repertory Theatre in New York the other twain important elements of the Triple Threat namely Acting and terpsichore were embraced which opened the door to many theatrical opportunities.

bULLY
Bully is a cultural Industries consultant and has been involved in the cultural industries from 1964 having worked in all areas of the theatre arts, carnival and film in Dominica and Jamaica. She has make several studies on cultural industries and developed a field of study Strategy and Action Plan to Develop Entertainment and Cultural Tourism in Dominica as well as Dominicas Cultural Policy.
From 1996 to 2007 she was a part time lecturer at the Edna Manley College for the Visual and Performing Arts where she taught Dance oversight, Theatre Management and Arts Management. In 2010, she co-conducted Events Planning & Management Workshops for Senior and oculus Managers of the Dominica Civil Service, and for the Mahaut Village Council.

Bully is presently on helper to the Government of Dominica as Film Commissioner. Besides marketing Dominica as a film location she has taken on the enactment of developing a local film industry in Dominica and is in the process of developing incentives for the film industry.


ARMAS
Im graduated in Spanish and Literature in the University of Social Sciences and Arts, in Camaguey, Cuba,1995. I worked as a teacher for 5 years at the same Institution, before I came to live in Dominica. As a good caribbean and cuban I tookcha cha cha and salsa , lessons during college and University for 8 years. I maintain my love for dance.
