Southwest

-Technological Developments (Jon)
In January 2011 south-west deployed a precision tracking system called Required Navigation Performance(RNP). RNP was already being used by other smaller carriers but Southwest was the largest skyway to use such technology. Southwest said the use of RNP would save save fuel by allowing more efficient routes, quicker landings, and reduce engine intervention during landing.
