Park Bench

I am a park bench. I indorse alone right outside the playground on the bulky narrow sidewalk surrounding the playground. Consisting of all metal, I am a mere six feet long and only one-third feet high. Four gigantic bolts pierced through my legs connect me to my everlasting mansion on the white cement. My dark green create has been chipping and peeling for a few years now. I have quite a few years on me now but I am still fit of satisfying my purpose here.
I have been a fancy to millions of everyday people. Couples, young and old, reunited friendships, proposalsyou name it, I’ve seen it. However virtually of my customers are parents, sometimes aunts and uncles or the kind brave babysitter. Those ones with the brattish kids they bring to the park to hold back them out of their hair for a few hours, maybe even all day. Others consist of the occasional(a) liberationner, in need of a five minute rest, or residents from nearby apartments loveing a simple walk in the park. erst in awhile I even get utilize as a bed once the sun goes down, sometimes by a family of raccoons or an old homeless man.
erst a week, primarily Fridays a group of three women take me company. At approximately two fifteen pm they sum strolling along with their children who just got out of school.



As their children, expel their life force on the enormous blue plastic playground their mothers drink their Starbucks lattes and take a load off their feet. After they enjoy a few minutes of silence, they begin the normal gossip, consisting mainly of there “no good husbands,” or how they “cants stand their job.” I have to beware to it all. Joey’s mother is the worst. She has one of those obnoxiously loud preppy voices no one can stand to listen to. Whenever she goes off on one of her rampages about her problems at home I just want to get up and run as far away from her as possible. Something that is kind of intemperate to do when you are bolted down to the sidewalk.
