The Korean War seems to be sandwiched in mingled with the shadows of WWII, and the Vietnam War. Yet the evidence shows it was one of the most gruesome wars the coupled States has ever participated in. The terrain and weather conditions alone were extreme, and claimed life and limbs of many troops. From rhyme bite and hypothermia, to jungle rot, and malaria; the intense brutal fighting claimed the lives of oer 33,000 Americans, wounded 103,000, and left over 8,000 still missing in action, or prisoners of war.
It seems that in our own society and education systems, the exclusively thing seems to get chalked up to a U.N. lead, police keeping mission, that took place in some far off land, that no one seems to give much thought, c ar, or recognition too. Although the randomness is out there, there is not enough enfaces on the sacrifices do by American service members on behalf of the conspiracy Korean people; I guess this is why it is referred to as The forgotten War. Many younger Americans dont realize that the South Korean people who are one of the world leading in the development of modern technology, and live in a free society, owe it to our American troops, for literally paying for it with blood, sweat, and tears.
